Nutella Kisses

People love Hershey’s Kisses. People love Nutella. I thought I’d combine the two ideas into Nutella Kisses.
These are great eaten on their own, or you could press them into cookies (like these peanut butter cookies).
I had to seriously improvise with making them. I don’t have any chocolate molds, let alone chocolate molds in the shape of cones or kisses, so I really had to strategize. I shaped some into small discs for a recipe I’ll be posting tomorrow, you could also shape pipe them into dots to use as chocolate chips if you still don’t want to make the whole kiss (or are lacking the tools). They are really simple to make though and worth the effort. Check it out.

Quick & Easy Hot Chocolate

This hot chocolate is good. It’s nothing mind blowing or over the top, but it does taste delicious and really warms up the body, plus it comes together quickly, it’s great for a freezing winter morning.
The recipe makes exactly one mug’s worth and takes about 5 minutes from start to finish. Top it with some marshmallows (vegetarian mini marshmallows or homemade marshmallows made with vegetarian gelatin are great), I pull them right out of the freezer and the hot chocolate softens them up in a heartbeat, they cool off the steaming hot chocolate a little bit as well. You could also add a dollop of homemade whipped cream with a small sprinkle of cinnamon. I like to add in a couple chocolate chips while I’m heating it to give it a thicker chocolate flavor and make it a little bit sweeter.

Quick & Easy Hot Chocolate
Makes 1 mug
1 cup whole milk
1 1/2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 to 4 chocolate chips (optional)
Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan. Heat over medium-high heat, whisking constantly, until all ingredients melt together (chocolate chips may not be completely melted) and the hot chocolate starts to steam. Pour into heatproof mug and top with marshmallows, whipped cream, or leave plain. Serve warm or hot.

Chocolate & Peanut Butter Fudge

I feel like I’m always telling you guys I don’t like peanut butter..then I give you a recipe with peanut butter.
I don’t know what’s wrong with me.
Maybe I don’t actually hate peanut butter…but I think I do.
I don’t hate this fudge though. Maybe it’s the combination of peanut butter and sugar plus a layer of chocolate that makes me really fall in love with it. You’ll fall in love with it too, maybe you’ll even marry it!

Peanut Butter Cups

Everybody loves chocolate and peanut butter (except me and people who have nut allergies). My friend John requested these when I offered to make him something as an housewarming gift for his new apartment.
I’ve made these before in mini-muffin tins but I decided to do the full-sized for this batch.

Brown Sugar Fudge

I take a lot of pictures of butter. It’s a little weird, I guess. I probably have a picture of butter in every post. Butter never really changes..sometimes I cut it into cubes or melt it..but it’s still butter.

Butterscotch Cream Pudding
I’ve found the cure for a bad day! Butterscotch. I can’t get enough. There is something about brown sugar that makes life that much better. Whether it is in cookies, frosting, or even just a straight spoonful, there is something amazing about the flavor that I can’t describe. I was digging around and found this recipe for butterscotch and made it five minutes after I found the page, no lie.
